Vatican II at 50: Toward a Dynamic Understanding of
Conciliar Reception” by Mary Ann Hinsdale, IHM
On January 24th, at 7:00 pm, Pigott Auditorium Seattle University. 
What does it means to say that an ecumenical council’s teaching has been “received”?
This lecture will explore how a dynamic understanding of conciliar reception
must involve dialogue, participation, and even “re-invention”.
 Mary Ann Hinsdale is an associate professor of systematic theology at Boston College.
A member of the IHM Sisters, she received her Ph.D.
from the University of St. Michael’s College in Toronto,
earned a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from Regis College,
and a Masters of Religious Education from Catholic University of America.
