Vatican Council Lecture Series
The Second Vatican council was one of the most important events of
the 20th century.
More than
3000 Bishops, theologians, and observers met at the Vatican between
October
1962 and December 1965. The 16 documents
promulgated by the council fathers
would help guide the church into the 21st
century to commemorate the 50th anniversary
of the great Council
Pope Benedict the 16th was called for a Year of Faith - , a time to
return
to the documents of the council
and appreciate a renew their teachings.
Using Pope Benedict and his processors as our guides we will examine
each document
carefully considering this history, meaning and implications.
On the first Monday of each month (February –
June) at the parish center
in the Bl.
Teresa of Calcutta room 7:00 -9:00 PM.
With David Charboneau,
